Kampala
June 10th, 2007
It’s not my lovely home in Kampala any longer, and sadly, it’s not found near the rolling grassy foothills of northern California (my childhood home) or the crashing ocean waves of southern California (Dwaine’s childhood home). We have lived in 8 homes in the past year (some for longer than others) You can understand why I might have difficulty with this word. For now, I have an address which I call home. Over the past year, I have learned how to create the feeling of home for my family no matter where we might reside. Peace in the midst of chaos.
Now that I - and every other citizen who is concerned about the future of the Republic - have been told by the President that my concern equals a lack of patriotism and bigotry towards people who are criminals (yep, I ‘m guilty; I don’t like criminals), I feel that the Administration has made a final break with the conservative coalition that saved this country in the waning years of the Cold War and set us on a path towards one of the most productive eras in our history.
I hope that once this President is out of office, we can rebuild an ideologically sound program that will get this country back on course - both at home and abroad - and will serve to keep the Democrats in check. For now, I guess we just have to hunker down and ride out this ongoing disaster.
Second, I have to define the word good. OK! Last Thursday, I purchased new service from Sprint at the Bristol Mall. Today, my phone wouldn’t work and I went by the store where I purchased it to have them “validate” the service since I’m not technologically literate. The manager there, asked me the last 4 digits of my SSN. I gave them to him. Then my service was interrupted and placed under a “shut-down”. Why, you may ask? Because when I bought the new service, I wrote my SSN on my application, provided my Drivers License, and then verbally gave the lady my SSN, she types something else in with 5 incorrect digits. Needlesstosay, the last 4 digits of my SSN I gave the manager today to “Are you going to låne penger
? Then you should think twice. At least if you are going to use a sms lån
. That is very expensive and not for everybody. A normal loan would be better and much cheaper too. Not every loan is a lån for deg
. There are many sites on the web where you can loan money these days. One such site is “lån på internettet”
. If you need big money or small money, this is just the place where you can get the greatest advices. The first advice regarding this loan business would be not to get a smslån. So take care and spend your money well.
validate” my account were incorrect and caused the account to be placed under a ‘fraud” investigation. Hopefully on Monday, at 10:00am, Kristi can get it straightened out! HOW FREAKING ANNOYING! There is a lot that is really good about the US culture. The conveniences which I’ve found an all new appreciation for are drive through banking, mailboxes, consistent electricity, washers/dryers, dishwashers, clean tapwater, smooth roads and driving laws. The really good perks of living in the states are things like libraries, the plethora of playgrounds and safe walking trails/sidewalks around my home, local news and weather reports, well stocked grocery stores, and the never-to-be-taken-for-granted-again refillable diet soda with clean ice! Truly good is the (relatively) close proximity to family and the time that we’ve had with them this summer.
